The Opportunity

• Lease an established 7-shed broiler farm at Woodlands’ Glasshouse Mountains complex.
• Operate as an independent contractor, managing day-to-day farm operations and labour.

Your Responsibilities

• Independently manage all daily farm operations, including:
  • Bird care, feeding, ventilation and flock performance.

  • Biosecurity, hygiene and safety.
• Manage farm utilities, routine maintenance and consumables.
• Monitor performance data and work collaboratively with Woodlands Enterprises’ broiler team.

Support Provided

You will be supported by:

• Experienced broiler service staff.
• Nutrition, veterinary and technical specialists.
• Centralised feed supply and logistics.
• Maintenance support for major infrastructure.

About You

You will ideally have:

• Proven experience growing broiler chickens (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of animal welfare, biosecurity and compliance standards.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Transport and Field Services Manager, you will work closely with other Woodlands staff to ensure egg and chicken waste are transported safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.  Material is loaded either via truck-mounted crane or dispatched directly into the truck.  The role involves no manual handling.

Key Responsibilities

• Transport egg and chicken waste between Woodlands sites
• Operate a HR body tipper truck safely and efficiently
• Undertake additional truck-related duties (float, tilt tray, water or tipper truck)
• Ensure correct loading via truck-mounted crane or direct dispatch
• Complete deliveries between Beerwah, Beerburrum and Conondale
• Thoroughly wash and clean the truck at the end of each shift
• Complete daily vehicle inspections and documentation in line with NHVAS requirements
